The annual District Convention is the opportunity for our entire district to join together to transact business and have a fun time doing it. The convention opens with a Friday night dinner and a memorial service followed by a “district mixer” (Governor’s Night) where the fun begins.

Governor Margaret's theme this year will be...

"Hawaiian"

Saturday daytime activities, (Lions attire is appropriate), include a district business meeting in the morning, a Saturday luncheon featuring a guest speaker sharing ideas about various Lion Projects, and an afternoon workshop/forum addressing pertinent topics and sharing ideas. The Saturday Evening Banquet, (Business attire is appropriate), is our gala event. It is the district’s opportunity to hear a first-hand message brought to us by a Lions International Director. The banquet also gives our governor the opportunity to share some fun experiences and recognize outstanding Lions in our district.

Once again this year, after the official business is concluded, a Live Auction will tempt you to exercise your bidding skills against your fellow Lions.
The fun theme of the convention is enhanced by the presence of several hospitality suites which swing into action immediately following the Saturday Banquet. As the convention draws to a close on Sunday morning, we hold our region and district elections followed by a chance to meet the Leadership Team for 2011-2012. Your District Convention Committee takes this opportunity to thank all members and Clubs who generously supported our raffles which have helped reduce the cost for all 2011 convention attendees. We look forward to seeing you in Midland sharing the camaraderie of Lionism at the 2011 District Convention. Follow the link for a look at the complete convention agenda .
